Retail Innovation

Date

May 2025

ASSIGNMENT OVERVIEW:
This project involved developing a new or innovative retail concept for an existing or original brand. The assignment required an analysis of the business environment, trends, and consumer needs, along with justification of the concept’s value and a detailed business model that included projected financial and non-financial outcomes.

INNOVATION CONCEPT:
GAP ReWorn is a sustainability-driven innovation that introduces a new capsule collection available both in-store and online. Customers can return worn GAP clothing in any condition for store credit. The items are then either repaired or upcycled into limited-edition pieces through collaborations with emerging designers. The program supports circular fashion, encourages responsible consumption, and strengthens customer loyalty, especially among Gen Z and eco-conscious consumers, while refreshing GAP’s brand identity through a purpose-driven, modern retail experience.
